“You should stretch more, it’s good for you.” This is something we have always heard from parents and coaches. But why is it good for you, how do we benefit from stretching every day?

1. Decrease stress
Regular stretching can help reduce stress. Your muscles tend to tighten when you are experiencing physical or emotional stress, stretching coupled with mindful breathing can work together to help decrease tension in your body which will subsequently help decrease stress.
