11. Take your shoes off
Removing your shoes when you are trying to sleep helps with the blood flow and circulation. Also, we normally sleep without shoes on so this could also help as a subconscious signal for your body that it is time to sleep.
12. Drink water
Your body will become dehydrated much easier when you are flying at such a high altitude. Having water accessible and sipping regularly to stay hydrated will help your body fall asleep and stay asleep.
13. Eat healthily
It’s probably not news to you that airplane food isn’t the healthiest. Eating light and healthy is key to being as comfortable as possible on the plane. Not eating enough or eating too much can make us more irritable and inevitably harder to sleep.
14. Make sure you won’t be disturbed
If you are trying to get some serious sleep, give the flight attendants a heads up that you indent to sleep and do not want to be disturbed or woken up.
15. Earplugs or noise-canceling headphones
These are a must for light sleepers. The constant drone of an aircraft can take a told on you. Earplugs or noise-canceling headphones can cut the noise to a minimum and provide some peace and quiet.
